Summary

Queen of the fae courts。 Faced with an impossible battle。 Destined to never be with the Unseelie I love。

The magical tea has worn off。 My eyes are wide open。 And it’s with horror that I realize the fate of two realms rests on my shoulders after my mother’s ultimate sacrifice to trap Rubezahl in Underhill。

Terrified humans clamoring for answers, whispered rumors from both Seelie and Unseelie, and a stepmother who seeks the throne for surprising reasons are the least of my troubles。

Rubezahl has returned far sooner than I thought possible。 I’m not ready。 I can’t win this。 And not only that…
He has something crucial if we are to win。 He’s taken something I cannot live without。

The place of the final battle has been decided, and two armies will meet。 Yet forces beyond my understanding must be satisfied first--old magics rise and demand their dues。

There is no option but to race and decipher the puzzle to save the man I love, the friends more important to me than my own life, and humans and fae alike。

Two realms。
Only I can save them。
We’re screwed。

If you can’t get enough of Sarah J。 Mass, Holly Black, or Jennifer L。 Armentrout, you will love this vibrant world where impossible love and an explosive pace will leave you breathless!

This was an epic book。 A fitting ending to a great story。 It just felt heavy at times, reading felt like sludging through mud, sticking in the same spot over and over again。 But in the end everything was clear。

It was a good, if a bit rushed, ending to this trilogy。 I really appreciated the sacrifices the characters made and they felt appropriate and like an actual sacrifice。 I really loved the grand finale。 If you are looking for a series with fae and strong heroines, this is the one for you。

loved the series but… I had a hard time getting into this one for some reason。 Usually, I can’t put the book I am reading down, I couldn’t put the first two books in this series down, but I had to force myself to keep reading this one。 There wasn’t really anything wrong with it, I just couldn’t stay engaged with it。 One problem I had was the lack of summarizing when it mentioned things from the first two books。 I got confused a few times about things mentioned from the other books that I didn’t loved the series but… I had a hard time getting into this one for some reason。 Usually, I can’t put the book I am reading down, I couldn’t put the first two books in this series down, but I had to force myself to keep reading this one。 There wasn’t really anything wrong with it, I just couldn’t stay engaged with it。 One problem I had was the lack of summarizing when it mentioned things from the first two books。 I got confused a few times about things mentioned from the other books that I didn’t remember。 Again, I can’t pinpoint anything really wrong but I struggled with it and was bored reading most of it。 。。。more

A Crown of Petals and Icewhat a journey!! … Alli is queen, Lan is regent, and the Fae world is hanging by a thread thanks to Ruby … twists and turns are frequent, and the conclusion unexpected … what fate is in store when Balance is tampered with?

I eagerly read each book in this series waiting for the time that the Lovers could be together。 I was very entertained with the different characters and their good and bad traits and how they could have gotten to that point。 I was not surprised with the ending , but it was fitting。 I recommend this series。

“The problem with a villain is that they believe in their plight。”Boy, I love Kallik! She is so real and funny and honest。 I just love her。 The story progresses fast and very well。 I’m so glad this world isn’t over because I love it so! I enjoyed the hints at some of St。 Clare’s other series’。 I loved the idea of balance, even though it frustrated me to no end。 Great story!

disappointed I’m disappointed in the ending of the book。 I feel like Allie and Lan deserved a better HEA。 The sacrifice they have to make for the future of the fae… just didn’t settle well with me。 The writing is great still。 I loved Kik。。 he’s hilarious。

I'll be honest this book was a bit of a let down for me。From the last book there were about a million different ways this could have gone。 The direction it ended up going was surprising but I was a excited, then the end。 Well, I didn't like it。 To me it didn't feel complete。 It felt almost like there were two different endings fighting for dominance and we ended up with a weird compromise of the two。(view spoiler)[Alli and Lan should have died。 They should have gotten their moment in the woods t I'll be honest this book was a bit of a let down for me。From the last book there were about a million different ways this could have gone。 The direction it ended up going was surprising but I was a excited, then the end。 Well, I didn't like it。 To me it didn't feel complete。 It felt almost like there were two different endings fighting for dominance and we ended up with a weird compromise of the two。(view spoiler)[Alli and Lan should have died。 They should have gotten their moment in the woods then died。 That would have been the most satisfying way the story could have ended。 I'm all for a happy ending but once the authors went down the 'There must be balance' path, that is what makes sense to me。It felt cheap。 Like the authors couldn't commit to killing their characters。 The entire thing with them not being able to have the child that they saw made me upset。 What was the balance there? They were dead。 They couldn't have kids from the dead, so it felt like a weird thing to ensure that it felt like they lost something。 It also didn't feel like they had much of a choice。 Go back and life and everyone else would thrive。 Or stay dead and everyone you love will suffer。 Not exactly a choice。The other ending I feel like they could have done if they wanted them to live was Alli losing her seelie and unseelie magic to become the new oracle。 She could have metaphorically died and become something new like Lan did。 Thus filling the balance while also letting them have a happy ending。 I think this works with the foreshadowing they did and would have been better alternative。The story just felt like it ended by being pulled in too many directions。As far as a Little sister story, I would have been far more interested if we had gotten what Allie had laid out。 A hardworking Cynth as Regent and Allie's sister growing up with her conniving mother。 That was so interesting。 That was sequel bait。The way it shifted in the end was of far less interest to me。Finally because it's the last book I feel like I can make this complaint without it being explained later:How did Allie age 8 years in the real world 4 if she was in a fake underhill。 It is never explained how they made time change in fake underhill。 I can suspend my disbelief to an extreme degree but I've been waiting for it to be explained and it never was。 I don't understand。(hide spoiler)]The book was enjoyable。 I didn't love it like I did the first two。 I would still definitely read more from these authors, I just need to get over my feelings about this book。 。。。more

🙃Thank god this book was less than 300 pages cause my goodness it was painful。 I only read it cause I need some closer from the first 2 books which I honestly didn’t like either。 I tried, I wanted to love it。 But what a rollercoaster of confusion。 🤦🏻‍♀️

A Surprising & Bold Conclusion, I'm Impressed!🌟A Crown of Petals and Ice: The Honey and Ice Series Book #3This is as full of twists, turns, betrayals & surprises as you can get! Underhill shocks her in its decisions and actions but Alli's beliefs refuse to betray the fae race!I thoroughly enjoyed this series。 I thought the Author duo did an amazing job together。 I'm glad a new trilogy will come, in the same world, at a later date。 I can unreservedly recommend this series!🌟Debbie, 1970, UK 。。。more

There's a lot happening in here, action and intrigue, humour mixed with heart ache。 She has to figure out what's happening, how to defeat the bad guy, and how to have everybody survive the encounter。 And then she needs to realise what she's willing to sacrifice to succeed。 The fate of two worlds hangs in the balance, and it's all resting on Kallick's shouldersIt's a great world that's been created, full of so much imagination and rich detail。 The touches of humour lend a bit of brevity that stop There's a lot happening in here, action and intrigue, humour mixed with heart ache。 She has to figure out what's happening, how to defeat the bad guy, and how to have everybody survive the encounter。 And then she needs to realise what she's willing to sacrifice to succeed。 The fate of two worlds hangs in the balance, and it's all resting on Kallick's shouldersIt's a great world that's been created, full of so much imagination and rich detail。 The touches of humour lend a bit of brevity that stops it dragging you down and kicking you in the guts, just that spot of a smile in otherwise pretty serious situations。 There are some dark themes in here, but nothing that's overly expressed or graphic: more of a mention and the result as opposed to a blow-by-blow detailing。 The book wraps up the story arc, but the end leaves it open for a new adventure (that sounds like it focuses on different characters in the future) to continue in this world。 。。。more

HEASome people don’t get a happily ever after。 Kalli seems to be one of those。 Orphaned, rejected and cast out, yet expected to sacrifice for the greater good of all of Underhill and humanity。 Fallan sacrifices himself to regain the harp only to lose it。 Was any of it worth it? What sacrifices will finally break the Queen of All Fae?

Sonia Morvillo

Brilliant storyline and amazing MCs。

great ending As keen as I was for this story - I’m glad it ended the way it did。 A little open a little closed。 It was good to be at an end though。 If it dragged on for another book I would have quit。

Gabriella

Uniquely humorousLaughter, steam, adventure, interesting twists and turns, good finale windup and path laid for additional stories in this world。 I really enjoy the authors’ crass and quirky humor。 Not for the faint of heart or stuffy。
